SBBA was established with over 25 years of experience to help develop the basketball and social skills of young men and women in the Puget Sound area . Our students are not only trained in the skills of the game, but the understanding. We believe that basketball is an extension of life. And the trials and lessons in basketball can be a helpful tool for the lessons of life. Our students are trained to be courteous, respectful, disciplined, and structured. Academics and behavior are a vital part of the development of our students. We understand that high school & college coaches are in attendance at tournaments throughout the country. The way our stundents and parents portray themselves on and off the court could be the difference in receiving a college scholarship. Our goal is to equip each student with the necessary mental & physical skills that will best enable them to receive high school accolades and receive a college scholarship. From September of 2005 to June 2006 several parent of our students wanted a 7th grade girls team. It was the first team ever assembled at SBBA. Those young ladies have taken the valuable skills learned to to the next level of national competition.

SBBA is proud to announce that we are the official Girls AAU team for Adidas Basketball. This responsibility inable SBBA to develop the finest talent from the area and around the region for their Premier Adidas Events. Head Instructor

Stacey Scott has been working work young players in the Puget Sound area for over 13 years. He has personallyy trained dozens of young men and women in all aspect of the game. Many of these student had little experience and have now gone on to very well on the high school, select, AAU, college levels. Stacey has also worked with several Select & AAU Teams to help with the individual and team development. In every case he has helped develop championship teams. The latest being our own Seattle's Best girls 7th grade AAU team. A team that he personally trained that consisted of players who saw very little playing time on their previous AAU teams. Stacey is also the Head Girls Basketball Coach for Washington Middle School in Seattle.

Stacey's experience is well rounded. Growing up in the Kansas City area as a youngster, then relocating with his Step-Father(now adoptive Father) and family to North Dakota. He was an outstanding athlete in high school earning nine varsity letters in basketball, football, tennis, and track. Earning All-State, All-Region, All-Conference and MVP in every sport. Including All-American honors in basketball from the state of North Dakota where he lead his team in every statistical category in his junior and senior year. He received dozens of offers from D1 schools, including Washington's own WSU. But ended up attending North Dakota State- School of Science(78-80) where he lead the team in scoring & rebounding two years, then transferred to University of North Dakota(80-82) for two years. In the summers between school years he played in the Pro Summer basketball leagues for International Playboy & Nike. After his collegiate years he was released from several NBA team(Chicago, Dallas, San Diego). Player documentation available upon request. Although his professional career wasn't as stellar as his previous years he has continually assisted young players with the game of basketball whenever the opportunity was presented. Stacey's specialty is developing players jump shots(not set shots), Ball Handling, Basketball IQ(decision making), and Attitude. He is also certified in First Aid & CPR.
